Trans Tech: emerging tech sector of the human psyche

Increasingly, the economy and society of the future is shaped by creativity and empathy, both of which emerge from the human mind. Success in the future will belong to the curious and self-aware who succeed with creative problem solving and soft skills like empathetic interaction. How might we enhance the human psyche to improve well-being and performance (from learning and ideation to productivity)?

Transformative technologies (Trans Tech) complement the rise of virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality with a sort of internal reality (IR). In other words, there is a rich inner life that can be a sort of vitality, creative insight, empathy. Periodically, we see a new study demonstrating how mindful and other transformative mental states (like lucid dreaming) provide relief from symptoms of pain, anxiety, stress, and depression. What if technology could be leveraged to facilitate such states to enhance cognitive and emotional abilities and help us all express our fullest potential -- to express our "better selves?”

Trans Tech can help us amplify our empathy, collaboration, awareness, intuition, understanding, emotional self-regulation, and meaning-making. Trans Tech may help us deal with low engagement, loneliness, anxiety, stress, depression, pain, suicide, distraction, frustration, fatigue, and poor soft skills.

Objectively, these benefits translate into fewer sick days, greater motivation and productivity, less toxic workplaces, improved problem solving and decision-making, improved customer service and engagement. Internally, emotional wellness is the ability to successfully handle stress and adapt to change and difficult times - at home and at work.

Emotional wellness implies the ability to be aware of and accept our feelings, rather than deny them, have an optimistic approach to life, and enjoy life despite its occasional disappointments and frustrations. Enhanced well-being allows us to keep problems in perspective and bounce back from setbacks (resilience).

Neuma Being is a pioneer in this space created the world's first Mind Spa and Showroom. It features the Cymatix, a smart recliner with the unique approach of automating and mimicking ancient and contemporary energy mindfulness and heightened states techniques. It showcases other trans tech solutions for improved creative performance and well-being.

Trans Tech has the potential to enhance our performance, well-being, interactions, and to thrive at work, in school, in society, at home, and in our own inner life. The future of work, society, education will be shaped by our minds. If used ethically and responsibly, individuals will be able to use trans tech to contribute at an even higher level through an enhanced empathy, vitality, cognition and imagination.
